of castles, chateau’s, palaces and other premises that can be rented
for a very reasonable rate.
It is not just the historical center of Prague and other historical
towns which attract filmmakers but also the natural beauty of the Czech
Republic. Permits to film on locations are easily obtained.
Prague itself offers numerous types of locations
dating from Middle Ages to present time. These locations were used by
art directors as substitutes for Paris, Vienna, Berlin and US cities
as well.

What
kind of services do you offer?
Cabiria Ltd. offers a full range of services for all phases of production,
from location scouting and securing, through pre-production, casting,
art-direction, lighting, grip and up to complete post-production services
including top-of-the-line editing suites, Flame special effects and
film prints.

How much can I save on
my budget?
Even after taking the extra travel expenses into account, the cost
of production in the Czech Republic is much lower than in the US or
any West-European country. Depending on your project you are most likely
to save between 25% to 50% on your below-the-line budget.

Do I have to pay VAT?
Once a contract between a foreign production company and Cabiria
Ltd. is signed all services and facilities are rendered by Cabiria Ltd.
During the production the foreign production company is excluded from
VAT charge.
Exported goods have to be declared at customs and they are free of VAT
charge.

How
do I get to your office?
Cabiria Ltd. is conveniently located in the center of Prague.
The international airport is within 16 miles (25 km) of the city center.
37 major airlines offer daily flights. The best way to get to our office
from the airport is by car and it takes about 20 minutes. A taxi will
charge you about $10. A special airport pickup is offered to our clients.

Where will I stay while
filming in Prague or the Czech Republic?
All leading hotel groups are present in Prague. Cabiria Ltd. has an
exclusive contract with some of the major Hotels enabling us to offer
you special rates.
Private accommodation in apartments or villas are available as well.
